Agree that we can separate them out and look at them one-by-one, but they can slip into each other a bit. For example, if you quit the smartphone or social media you might spend a similar amount of time at home on YouTube.

A less extreme version of what I'm doing that might work quite well is to either (1) set aside internet consumption time each day (2) avoid using any of the Web2, internet-native applications.

Reading high quality blogs or Wikipedia articles is great, it's just the Web2 algorithmic, dopamine-filled stuff that fucks us up.

Also, totally agree that apps like Centered are great uses of technology to help us do deep work.
